I’ve finally got a chance to create a iPhone version of my portfolio site.
Since the majority of my work is creating flash driven content, I’ve always had concerns that one day humankind will disable their flash players and all new technologies/companies will stop supporting it. So far, that hasn’t happened yet. But Apple is pretty stingy when it comes to external plug-ins. The majority of the apple devices ( iPod Touch, iPhone, and the new iPad ) does not support the flash player. I can definitely see their point of view, but it just seems wrong to block users from all the coolness that’s already out there on the web. I would even be on board with some type of quality assurance process that checks and makes sure content is non-obtrusive and safe. This would be just like the app store, but for the flash player or any other plug-ins. Just my two cents.
So anyway, the iPhone version is now up and running (www.calvinly.com). If you run into any issue or have any suggestions on improving it, I’m all ears.
